If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at a theatre or you’re interested in old movie cameras, deco buildings and organs then head to the Majestic Theatre Pomona on the 24th October 2026 for this year’s Open House.
The doors open at 9am and we will be conducting guided tours of the theatre from 10am. Bookings essential. Or you can do a self-guided tour with our information card. There will be a free screening of a silent film at 12 noon with Chris Rose accompanying on the 1937 Compton Organ.
WHAT’S TO SEE –
Our mini projector & movie museum will be open in the ‘bio box’ and its stuffed full of old movie memorabilia, old projectors, reels & posters from a by gone time.

View the 1937 Compton Organ. See the organ bellows and peep inside the organ pipe chamber with its 850 pipes.
View a free Silent Film at 12 noon. Accompanied by Chris Rose on the 1937 Compton Organ.
See a running 8mm reel to reel in the main hall as a demonstration of how movies used to be screened.
