DESCRIPTION:If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at a t
 heatre or you’re interested in old movie cameras\, deco buildings and or
 gans then head to the Majestic Theatre Pomona on the 24th October 2026 for
  this year’s Open House.\n\nThe doors open at 9am and we will be conduct
 ing guided tours of the theatre from 10am. Bookings essential. Or you can 
 do a self-guided tour with our information card. There will be a free scre
 ening of a silent film at 12 noon with Chris Rose accompanying on the 1937
  Compton Organ.\n\nWHAT’S TO SEE\n\nOur projector &amp\; movie museum wi
 ll be open in the ‘bio box’ and its stuffed full of old movie memorabi
 lia\, projectors\, reels &amp\; posters from a bygone time. We will also b
 e giving a demonstration of the 1912 Powers Projector which was one of the
  original projectors installed at the theatre.\n\nGo back stage and see wh
 at goes on behind the scenes &amp\; view our “Wall of Fame” and the Gr
 een Room.\n\nView the 1937 Compton Organ. See the organ bellows and peep i
 nside the organ pipe chamber with its 850 pipes.\n\nView a free Silent Fil
 m at 12 noon. Accompanied by Chris Rose on the 1937 Compton Organ. We've c
 hosen two short comedies. Buster Keaton in "One Week" and "Back Stage" fea
 turing Rosko 'Fatty' Arbuckle &amp\; Buster Keaton.\n\nSee a running 8mm r
 eel to reel in the main hall as a demonstration of how movies used to be s
 creened.\n\nCheck out our “on stage” display of old theatre equipment.
 \n\nView the memorabilia cabinet in the “Ron West Bar”.\n\nSo much to 
 see and do so put the date in your diary. The event runs from 9am till 3.3

 nd you can grab a coffee\, tea\, or other refreshments and snacks througho
