DESCRIPTION:If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at a t
 heatre or you’re interested in old movie cameras\, deco buildings and or
 gans then head to the Majestic Theatre Pomona on the 24th October 2026 for
  this year’s Open House.\n\nThe doors open at 9am and we will be conduct
 ing guided tours of the theatre from 10am. Bookings essential. Or you can 
 do a self-guided tour with our information card. There will be a free scre
 ening of a silent film at 12 noon with Chris Rose accompanying on the 1937
  Compton Organ.\n\nWHAT’S TO SEE –\n\nOur mini projector &amp\; movie 
 museum will be open in the ‘bio box’ and its stuffed full of old movie
  memorabilia\, old projectors\, reels &amp\; posters from a by gone time.\
 n\nGo back stage and see what goes on behind the scenes &amp\; view our 
 “Wall of Fame” and the Green Room.\n\nView the 1937 Compton Organ. See
  the organ bellows and peep inside the organ pipe chamber with its 850 pip
 es.\n\nView a free Silent Film at 12 noon. Accompanied by Chris Rose on th
 e 1937 Compton Organ.\n\nSee a running 8mm reel to reel in the main hall 
 as a demonstration of how movies used to be screened.\n\nCheck out our “
 on stage” display of old theatre equipment.\n\nView the memorabilia cabi
 net in the “Ron West Bar”.\n\nSo much to see and do so put the date in
  your diary. The event runs from 9am till 3.30pm. Click "Book Now" to see 
 the times of the guided tours and to pre-book. Be quick as they sell fast.

 a\, or other refreshments and snacks throughout the day.
