If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at a theatre or you’re interested in old movie cameras, deco buildings and organs then head to the Majestic Theatre Pomona on the 19th October for Open House 2024.
The doors open at 10am and we will screen a free silent film at 12 noon. Two comedies “One Week” about a flat pack house and “It’s a Gift” starring Australian silent movie star Snubs Pollard who invents a crazy little car that runs on a magnet.
We just set up our mini movie camera museum in the ‘bio box’ and its stuffed full of old movie memorabilia and old reel to reels. Or maybe take a guided tour. You can check out what we do back stage. See the organ bellows, and peep inside the pipe chamber of the 1937 Compton Organ. Free guided tours will be on offer through out the day.
