Southern Cross Soloists, “the stars of Australian chamber music” (Limelight), present the ‘CBD Trio” as part of their critically acclaimed “Sunset Soirée Recital Series”. The CBD Trio features acclaimed leading soloists who have delighted audiences overseas and across Australia throughout their individual illustrious careers. Join Roger Cui (Principal Pianist at Queensland Ballet), Margaret Blades (violinist and Acting Co-Artistic Director of Southern Cross Soloists), and György Déri (award-winning Hungarian cellist) for a recital of virtuosic music-making.
Featured in the programme is Haydn’s vibrant “Gypsy Rondo” from his Piano Trio No. 39 in G Major. This will then be followed by Beethoven’s heroic and passionate Piano Trio No. 3 in C Minor, Op. 1, No. 3. Witness chamber music like never before! Sunday 27th October. Doors and bar open 1pm.
