Andy Cowan is one of Australia’s foremost performing songwriters. Cowan played keyboards for Renee Geyer, Ian Moss, Kevin Borich, Madder Lake, Ayers Rock……
He possesses a voice that invites comparison with the blues of Muddy Waters, and the soul of Ray Charles. Cowan’s piano and keyboard playing contain both energy and melodic beauty. He received Blues Album of the Year 2000, Blues Performer of the Year 2001, Male Performer of the Year 2003 and was an ARIA nominee for his “10.30 Thursdays” CD. Andy performed at the International Blues Convention in Memphis, Tennessee, USA in 2002 representing Australia. He has arranged and played piano and keyboards on movie soundtracks including the Australian cult classic “Stone”. Other session work includes keyboards for Skyhooks “Ego Is Not A Dirty Word” album and many other recordings.
