Take a trip down the highway with country runaway Dorothy (introducing Joy Dunstan), as she journeys to the city to catch the farewell concert of rock superstar, The Wizard (Graham Matters).
Joining her along the way are a surfie who can’t find the beach (Bruce Spence), a bikie who can’t stand violence (Gary Waddell), a mechanic who sabotages other peoples engines (Michael Carman),and a towering 15-stone truckie (‘Ned’ Kelly) whose monstrous big rig keeps menacingly appearing.
Featuring a seminal Australian soundtrack by Ross Wilson and Jo Jo Zep including the hit single ‘Living In The Land Of Oz’.
Writer/Director, and now local resident, Chris Lofven won international awards for his short films as a teenager, and went on to make music clips for many Australian acts including Spectrum and Daddy Cool. OZ is Chris’s first feature.
