DESCRIPTION:Show People was a starring vehicle for actress Marion Davies an
 d William Haines and included notable cameo appearances by many of the fil
 m personalities of the day\, including Charlie Chaplin (who appears twice)
 \, Douglas Fairbanks\, William S Hart and John Gilbert and writer Elinor G
 lyn. Vidor King also appears in a cameo as himself\, as does Davies (to a 
 decidedly unimpressed reaction by herself in character as Peggy Pepper). T
 he film is a lighthearted look at Hollywood at the end of the silent film 
 era and is considered Davies' best role. Show People features no audible 
 dialog but was released with a Movietone soundtrack with a synchronized mu
 sical score and sound effects.\nSynopsis - Colonel Pepper brings his daugh
 ter Peggy from Georgia to Hollywood to be an actress. There she meets Bill
 y who gets her work at Comet Studio doing comedies with him. But Peggy is 
 discovered by High Art Studio and she leaves Billy and Comet to work there
 . For her new image\, she is now Patricia Pepoire and ignores Billy when h
 e sees her on location. When she is no longer wanted by the little people 
 who do not understand "ART"\, she plans to marry Andre to get a fake title
 . Billy will not let her go without a fight.\n\nDoor and bar open at 11am.
