DESCRIPTION:Our Dancing Daughters is a 1928 American synchronized sound dra
ma film starring Joan Crawford and John Mack Brown about the "loosening of
youth morals" that took place during the 1920s. The film was directed by
Harry Beaumone and produced by Hung Stromberg. While the film has no audib
le dialog\, it was released with a synchronized musical score with sound e
ffects using both the sound-on-disc and sound-on-film process. The film la
unched the career of Joan Crawford.\n\nSynopsis - "Dangerous Diana" Medfor

s flirtatious behavior with other boys as a sign of lack of interest in hi

 cille Fay LeSueur\; March 23\, 1906 – May 10\, 1977) was an American a
ctress. She started her career as a dancer in traveling theatrical compani
es before debuting on Broadway. Crawford was signed to a motion-picture co
ntract by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1925. Initially frustrated by the size an
d quality of her roles\, Crawford launched a publicity campaign and built
an image as a nationally known flapper by the end of the 1920s. By the 193
0s\, Crawford's fame rivaled MGM colleagues Norma Shearer and Greta Garbo.
Crawford often played hardworking\, young women who find romance and fina
ncial success. These "rags-to-riches" stories were well received by Depres
sion-era audiences and were popular with women. Crawford became one of Hol
lywood's most prominent movie stars and one of the highest paid women in t
he United States\, but her films began losing money. By the end of the 193
0s\, she was labeled "box office poison".\n\nAfter an absence of nearly tw
o years from the screen\, Crawford staged a comeback by starring in Mildre
d Pierce (1945)\, for which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress.\n\
 nCrawford married four times. Her first three marriages ended in divorce\;
the last ended with the death of husband Al Steele (CEO of Coca Cola). Sh
e adopted five children\, one of whom was reclaimed by his birth mother. C
rawford's relationships with her two older children\, Christina and Christ
opher\, were acrimonious. Crawford disinherited the two and\, after Crawfo
 rd's death\, Christina published the tell-all memoir "Mommie Dearest".\n\n
