DESCRIPTION:Marie-Georges-Jean Méliès was a French filmmaker\, actor\, ma
 gician\, and toymaker. He led many technical and narrative developments in
  the early days of cinema\, primarily in the fantasy and and science ficti
 on genres. Méliès rose to prominence creating "trick films" and became w
 ell known for his innovative use of special effects popularizing such tech
 niques as substitution splices\, multiple exposures\, time-lapse photograp
 hy\, dissolves and hand-painted colour. He was also one of the first filmm
 akers to use story boards in his work. His most important films include A 
 Trip to the Moon (1902) and The Impossible Voyage (1904).\n\nWe will scree
 n "A Trip to the Moon" and "The Impossible Voyage" and a few other surpris
 es.\n\nDoors &amp\; bar open at 11am. Coffee\, tea\, snacks and refreshmen
 ts are available. The movie screens at 12 noon. Cost is $15 for adults and
  free for kids 13 and under. No need to book. Get your ticket at the door.
