DESCRIPTION:\n\nGet ready to be moved and uplifted. Famous Australian singe
 r/songwriter Karen Knowles is bringing her “Songs and stories of Austral
 ia” show to the Majestic Theatre Pomona on August 1st for one night only
 .\n\nKaren rose to fame as a child performer on the TV show Young Talent T
 ime from 1975 – 1980 where her angelic voice made her a household name. 
 At 16 she was signed to Ron Tudor’s Fable Records and her debut single 
 “Why Won’t You Explain” went gold. Since then\, Karen has enjoyed an
  extensive musical career and has several gold and platinum records to her
  name. In the early 1990s she joined legendary Australian Folk group The S
 eekers as lead singer.\n\nThe Pomona show will celebrate music by iconic A
 ustralian artists such as Judith Durham and The Seekers\, Olivia Newton Jo
 hn\, Archie Roach\, John Farnham and Icehouse. Plus\, Karen will perform s
 ome of her own original works and songs from her childhood including her d
 ays on Young Talent Time. Audiences can expect to hear original songs Kare
 n hasn’t sung on stage before plus seminal Aussie ‘anthems’ such as 
 Great Southern Land and A Touch of Paradise.\n\nKaren will perform alongsi
 de talented harmonica player Justin Brady who is best know for playing in 
 the folk-rock band “Things of Stone and Wood”\n\nThe show is on Friday
  August 1st at the Majestic Theatre Pomona from 7 – 9 pm.\n\nDon't miss
